would your first thought be - "I must be related to this person"? That's all I'm tryin to say. My first thought would be look at the goddamned nose on that bitch!

how could they be identical and married, unless they lived in Massauseless. whaa? if the twins are different sexes, then they cannot be identical. ummmm, yeah, that makes sense Maybe they're gay. "got married without realizing they were brothe…

Yeah, well, you know, don't overestimate the intelligence of guys like Fatback and Rootless... huh? he thinks you are responding to my post. where, in his private trannie garden, thinking a female version of me is foul shows a complete lack of int…

"They were never told that they were twins. They met later in life and felt an inevitable[/b] attraction Why the fuck would this attraction be inevitable[/b]? I don't think an attraction to my sister would be inevitable under any circumstances…

i have an iriver hooked up to my mixer and keep it recording when i'm playing records at home. then go back and chop up the giant files. i record on lossless (wav) because it sounds better, but takes up A LOT of space. does anybody use ogg file for…

the chapterhouse "whirlpool" the other day for $5...should have bought it...i'm sure it's still there. That stuff tends to be a little pricey around here these days. (Richmond, VA--Plan 9) It's weird. I understand that the early Creation releases …

To hark back to a question asked earlier in this thread, the term 'shoegaze' came around because the bands used a lot of distortion pedals - hence looking down at their feet as they stepped on the relevant pedals. The term didn't come around becaus…

another band that I don't think I will tire of is Bauhaus. Let the hate begin! I just listened to In The Flat Field a couple of days ago, and it still holds up for me. Bleak as ever, but that works sometimes, if you're in the right mood. I alwa…

speaking of 4AD, i was trying to listen to the Cocteau Twins the other day too. Ms. Fatback walked in and said, "Why are you listening to Enya?" LOL. The same day I threw on some Dead Can Dance. It sounded ridiculous.

I see what you're getting at with the comparison, but I see these as two very differnet records. Like crink said, the better of this genre has aged very well. I find myself going back to it all the time. Probably more than anything from that era. …

HELL TO THE YES this one is dying for a caption...

prolly, but the nitty gritty machines are not very good in the first place. (had one before i got the VPI and it was a piece of shit).

OK, so theres been a few record cleaning threads lately and here is my question: Which is better, the vacuum machine or the ultrasonic with the lego brick setup... I always thought the ultrasonic was better, but some of you swear by the vacuum cle…

Never mind, I can't fuck with all that nonsense... Store the pure Tergitol??? in its original container (preferably under nitrogen) and in a non-food refrigerator to avoid degradation that causes an undesirable color and odor.
-
Tergitol, huh? Interesting. I'll try it.

10 to 1 of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol (90%) That's it. NOTHING ELSE! Should cost you about $3.00 to clean over 100 records. Why make this more complicated that it should be?

why? what's the difference? Seems clean enough to me.... spring water can (usually does) have lots of minerals that will settle into your grooves. distilled water does not and is also cheaper.
-
detergents are not good. if your record is so damn filthy that you need detergent, you should vacuum clean it. otherwise you are replacing the dust, dirt or poo-poo in the grooves with a layer of petroleum and/or wax residue. it might look better to…

use distilled, not spring water.

arent records made out of the same PVC material that the plastic bottles that hold drain-o are made out of? I mean, they're pretty impervious to chemicals, no? i am relieved that you are genuinely retarted and your whole web persona isn't some dol…
