I'm kind of suprised it didn't make the top 20 or so. It's a complete masterpiece. Love it. I have never taken it for granted and when people ask me what's a good album to put on front to back, HBS is on the top of that list. Shit is H.A.M.

i'd say James Brown is hella respected and thought of as the inventor of the heavy funk. if he wasn't getting critical praise in the 60s and 70s i think he does now by most music writers for all he's contributed to modern music.
