i recently pulled all of my hip hop 12"s out and put them in their own section by alpha. I like it much much better than having them mixed with the LP's, go for it. other than that i'm boring as hell. jazz has it's own 4 shelves and it's alpha, ro…

Well it looks like I may have to stick with alphabetical order. Maybe I'll seperate the 12" singles from the LPs too. Thanks.

Spine Color is wild. That may work if all of the spines of my records had titles but they don't. uhhhh... see: title-less section. Damn that's too complicated. I need simplicity.

I'm surprised it's taken this long for you to make this thread, Planet, considering that we've had a few threads related to the Lexicon already. I don't share your feelings. Maybe at one point I would have been like "gah! They're putting everybody …

BTW outside of online databases, have there ever been any kind of disco 12" or reggae 45 guides published? Those would be kinda dope too. I think there may be a Reggae guide but don't quote me. My friend is into Reggae and he's got a record store …

Apparently this book reveals all there is to know about the Funk Raer. Pretty pricey too. Do you consider this cheating?? If someone considers this book pricy, it's probably a good bet they won't be able to afford the "most raer" pieces listed w…

[l information--it provided no indication whatsoever as to which records were quality and which ones were terds. And if prices do go up, how is that a net con? For those on the selling side of the fence it's definetely a pro. It's a con on the b…
-
I mean you guys hate on breaks.com a lot but how is this different? Again just asking.
-
I don't see a con to this at all. Not at all? Not even one? So you don't think that prices will be driven up because of a book like this? Hey I'm just asking.
-
Don't get me wrong I think these books are dope for the info. There are pros and cons to everything don't ya think?
-
I believe the staements you have made are false. And to answer your question, no. What statements are you talking about? Ok short cuts.

MFC 42 analogue filter board: more info here MFC 42 works. I bought two from Guitar Center brand new for $99 when they decided not to carry them anymore.

I forwarded this idea to Egon. Maybe we will hear some days about it. Well thanks, We'll see what happens. Will I get credit?? Just kidding.

For those TV shows the studios had composers to do a score for the season and several tunes for certain episodes. Than the composer and arranger said which instruments should be used and the musicians were hired. Their was a pool of musicians back t…

Pat Williams Orchestra i found out using the intrawebz. They're the ones behind the Funk?

It is a good soundtrack. Sunday and episode came on and there was some funky ass music playing as the two main charactors were walking up some stairs. Never seen it on wax either.

They don't really care for "Fragile" stickers at all. However, if you leave them a note that usually works. I tried this once too, I mailed two tupperware containers with some records and odds and ends when I was moving. On one I attached a note wi…
-
I don't think Fragile matters. I used to work for UPS a long time ago and they used to throw packages and stack heavy boxes ontop of smaller boxes cramming packages into containers. So your records are getting abused no matter what.

Do you think disgruntled postal workers fuck with it just because? Why are you a postal employee who does this??

This Brand X record is $100. it is rare, groove. They even know about it on NPR. Wow, everyone is on the Rare bandwagon. Imagine the NPR audience thinking that hey maybe my Bread and John Denver records are rare groove too.

Gyruss is dope. So dope. Arcade version rocks, with the circular joystick action (nOAyO) - I used to beat that fucking game in the arcade, 8 planets down and onward towards Earth and I was dodging them parsecs like sweetness WP himself on the …

Yeah I like the old games better. All the old games are all about skill and racking up points, that's pretty much it.
-
Yeah that's kind of all I play. Dig Dug, Pac Man, Mrs. Pac Man, Gyruss is dope. Super Mario Bros., Frogger, Pole Position. I want 1942 and the original Punch Out if it's available. Haven't been able to find it though

I think we all do. Well is there anyone here that loves the P Funk? I've never been a fan for some reason.
