It doesn't cost anything to have a gemm store. I just assume he puts up his personal collection at exorbitant prices on the off chance that some doofus might bite. Why the hell not I guess. He's got about 15 positive feedback comments so looks …

I only have the Samuel Cheatham and the Jordan Travelers. And those KILL IT as far as I'm concerened. Do they all sound like that? Oh, I had the Jimmy and Eddie too, but ended up selling it.

My sister subscribes to Atomic Ranch Quarterly.

Button: excellent point. Latinos aren't listed as a "race" on the census so I'm not sure how this legislation could target MECHA. African and Asian American student groups might be shook though! I would argue that Afro-Americanism is simultaneous…

"Mexican" isn't a race; it's an ethnicity or a nationality. Therefore a Mexican-American study program is not race based. Case clooosed Arizona.

Thats pretty freaky. I'd be scared ass hell right about now.

Who would break it to the internet first? and when one finally made its way to ebay, who would be the first to win ?

Lee Williams And The Cymbals Yesss. I just found one by them called "Lost Love". Its like the perfect cross section of every soul subgenre I like.

My favorite Esquires 45 is 'Stay' on New World. My favorite Montclairs side is "Hey You! Don't Fight It" but that one is for millionaires only. ANother group that's been doing it for me lately are the Ethics. I've yet to hear a bad 45 from them…

You officially need the 'Safe Travel' Caltone records comp. Some of the most psychotic rocksteady came out on this label. Just listen to Phil Pratt's "Reach out", Hemsley Morris "Little THings" or Ken Boothe's "the one i love" for proof that rare…

my friend's girlfriend's passport was formerly a red '81, now its this: IMG src=http://photos-715.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sf2p/v120/20/31/14820715/n14820715_36149686_2455.jpg> but she just found out it has some serious engine problems so she…

'81 Honda C70 Passport aka Honda Super Cub, Monza Red Technically a motorcycle but generally accepted as a moped. That reminds me I gotta buy a new battery this weekend. Hopefully winter ends soon so I can ride it.

'ee' I'd imagine. I don't think latin americans use the "eye" i. Aye?

This version is much better than the original Really? I think I like that snippet of the OG I just listened to. But I'm hugely bias towards reverberated rocksteady vocals. I'll trade if anyone's got the upsetters version.

Sadly, my collectron temporarily consists of a dozen or so unattractive cardboard boxes.

As the original poaster, I took "pound for pound" to mean "per capita" in a sense. IE: The world's best flyweight boxer might not beat the 10th ranked heavyweight, but he's a better boxer "pound for pound". Number of releases should be conside…

On the NYC/La thing, I don't think I'd rank those as high as the other major hubs of the era. When you say Chicago sweet soul, Philly sweet soul, the Detroit sound, or the Memphis sound, anyone who follows the music even a little starts to get a…

DetroitAgreed. Well that concludes this thread I suppose.

Oh, here's one from ebay:

When I get my camera back tonight or tomorrow I will poast the Touch of Father Tom Smith cover that will send chills down your spine.

$125 was last week's price. This week it's $150 and next week it will be $197.34. But anyways, I usually just price at or a bit under typical ebay rates. I've found that with set sales here, unless you're unloading something enshrined in the SS t…

Also, send an empty box or a Sayer to him registered...then you will have a number to give paypal, and there is a good chance paypal will drop the case when the number turns up "delivered"...and since he already left posistive feedback, he will be s…
