I also thought this was one of those "everyone's up on it" breakbeat records. I've sold like 5 copies of this through the store. Also worth checking on there is "Life Of Fortune And Fame," freaked recently on as well as that Large Pro "Rhyman…

I had this at my shop for $6.99 and it sat there for MONTHS. Not saying saying that always reflects its actual value (esp. in regards to big $$ ebay weirdness) but yeah, see above, the record isn't that fantastic.

listening to J.C.- Life right now. Cool wah guitar, hippy folk kind of vibe (AP, is this your bag?), a bit over the top with the vocals/lyrics.
-
Astrud Gilberto Been meaning to pick this one up. Shirly HornI've got this one in the store right now. Pretty nice, but some songs are too laid back for me.
-
I'll be there, but on the early tip. Gotta open the store at 10... Is there a June show?
-
I saw a discussion w/ Keith Shocklee and other dudes from the It Takes a Nation of Millions production/engineering team, and they were talking about how the bomb squad used to to a mixdown from listening to the track through the closed studio doors.…

Just take a private car or a taxi. A. You are a celebrity, and need to get driven around like one. B. Right off those reciepts. C. Do you really wanna get on a train with your Microwave laptop? What if??? D. Don't be cheap! That sounds like …
-
Yeah, the backup drives are definitely necessary. I'm behind on that, but need step my game up.
-
Oh, I'm definitely doing that.
-
Word, though honestly I'd be most concerned with the laptop, which is tough to conceal and much more of a serious loss considering that it's how I earn my money, not to mention all the effort that went into compiling my library.
-
That ozzy part is rad.
-
I hope Dibbs gets his own short set like when he used to rock w/ Atmosphere. That was always the highlight for me
-
It is REALLY dope. Is it on the record though? I know Project Pat used that same Willie Hutch beat on his solo record, even though they flipped it a _little_ bit different.
-
There's a Hendrix boot I'm looking for myself in digital form. It's called "Jazz Jimi Jazz," and has been on several boots, including Axis Outtakes, and Southeby's Auction Tapes. Holler if you got it.
-
Got a birthday coming up, and would like to have an mp3 of: Jimi Hendrix/Curtis Knight - "Happy Birthday" Enjoy, Happy Birthday!
-
Dope pics. Next time you're in SD we need to get you to roll through M-Theory. I'm sure the party was ill.
-
Sadly I saw the post title and author and guessed the rest. Be safe.
-
easy one: "Harlem Clavinette"
-
I need a "my record store sells the particular release you are discussing" graemlin.
-
J-Blow, since you're in SD you can cop the 10" @ M-Theory. We don't have the full length yet, but we should when it drops. Holler!
-
Though I understand there are 7"s w/ some inst versions.

This album is Dale & Buzzo w/ the two dudes from Big Business on bass and extra drums. Seeing that live was 100% synchronized, though they weren't always hitting the exact same drums, just in the same rhythm, even for the fills.
