The most-perfect Gang Starr album. Premier was on fire. Fantastic.

Yeah I have a copy of the TSL 45, given to me by Rob (TripleDouble's story is correct). I guess i'd trade mine... played it once and then it went in the pile. Haven't touched it since. PM if you're interested.

LOL @ 'Yale' saying dope to describe the faucet.

Took me a few years to find one of these at a not-too-outrageous price. Decent 70s rock stuff, but i'd take the Titanic album over this any day.

I have - and always will - love that cover...
-
Yes Yes Yes! Wonderful album... essential.

Was always somewhat of an elusive record for me. It's never been expensive, but you just never really saw it... I guess because it actually is a great record and no-one was letting it go. Finally got mine a few years back - as well as a 45 of Save T…

co-sign on the Elmer's - used it many times. I usually leave it to dry overnight. If you peel it off really carefully, you can also play the negative-grooved (hardened) glue on the turntable

Chris Montez maybe?

Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant.

Here's the trailer for Magic City

Magic City premieres on Starz April 4th. But then i'm biased as 1) it was filmed here in Miami and 2) I did some extras work in it (blink and you'll miss me kinda stuff)

Hmmm... Layers or Talk To The People?

Stood the test of time well. Still gets plays. Who Got Da Props is a certified classic banger.

I can't help but think some 'Team America: World Police' shit is about to happen

I was always partial to 'North' and 'Never My Love'. I enjoy 'Today', but I too wonder if this album would even be 'up there' if it wasn't for the PR sample. Gabor Szabo's album with the California Dreamers - which i'm assuming is from around the…

Although it's not on the album, 'I'm Gonna Get You' gets regular spins by me. Love it.

Name: Jesse Place: Miami How old is you? 38 How did you get here? Who knows? Maybe some random search... Sentimental Records: Lots... but right now? I'd say PR & CL Main Ingredient. Places you DIG: eh. South F…

I read SS every day but rarely post for some of the previously mentioned reasons - namely, politics and sports. Anything to do with music is great and I also love that SS can turn me onto music I didn't previously know (Tame Impala for example)

Autotune in 10... 9... 8... 7...

This.

In the clurb, we use tennis balls cut in half. OK, they're going under 1200s which are way more robust, but they're cheap and worth a try no?

US band, but UK only LP:
