lol @ dudes getting hurt over the Grand Royal influence suggestion. ask Scratch how many college campus gigs he was doing before that shit compared to after. I'm not claiming it did anything for his "legacy" - I'm just saying the hacky…

Perry definitely owes a huge part of his latter day success to that Grand Royal article. It seems a stretch to give so much credit to a somewhat niche magazine, but just knowing how many people I knew who read that shit and bought a Lee Perry record…

Holmes, I love that Endeavors track. I found it kinda beat in a 50 cent bin and had never heard it, only a few years ago - I was pretty floored by it. so damn fast, though! If you were DJing it, what the hell could you follow it with that would push…

thank God that dude posted those clips. I can't believe I was blind to the greatness of Australian hip hop for so long!

I like the (new) Ghost album. Kind of surprised you don't! When I saw them live they were a big disappointment, but I pretty much never like bands in costume, too camp for me. But the LP has a great sound to it, IMO.

The "Killed By Glam" comp LP's are OK, kinda spotty but definitely have some cool tracks and worth checking out. I learned about this track from there: http://purepop1uk.blogspot.com/2006/09/go-go-thunder-race.html (the divshare file a…

am I wrong in thinking that, while they did not need to be rude about it, they were pretty much correct in saying that your third-party hardware issue was not their problem? I assume you bought your own to save money from the monthly rental charge o…

I don't have the set-up right now to rip and post an MP3 of "Sidewalk Cafe," but I did play it on my radio show last week (probably why this LP is on my mind) and if you want to hear that track it comes on at the 28:00 mark of this streaming MP3 - c…
