  • Why do house painters wear white clothes. Shit makes no sense. Are they some cult or something?
  • The best way to handle fools like that is to embarrass them. You should walk up to him, give him some dap and then start talking about him coming to some Klan meetings with you in a really loud voice.
  • I need some clarification. Does this mean a car you paid for, were given or what you had when you first started driving?

  • We just had our school (k-8) storybook parade. All the classes were doing chants. The 2nd graders got it into their heads to do the Stanky Leg but their (very old white) teachers inxayed the whole thing.
  • I see Batmon's moderator intimidation campaign is beginning to bear fruit.

  • If you haven't been to Seattle yet, you should go. Beautiful city with lots to do. I can't comment on the record hunting there though.
  • Bandy later started putting out Instant/Minit tracks.

  • Those Bandy comps are great, anyone know of a full label discography? I posted most of the ones that are on discogs. Where did you post them? On discogs -- I created the entries that are there now for a handful of Bandy releases. I figured that …

  • I found out about this from one of those cheap Bandy comps. I looked it up and saw that Craig Moerer had copies for $5 so I went over to pick one up. When I got there he hands me the record and says, "You know this is a really good price for this.…
  • Happy to finally have all the Lee Moses 45s now. I was just looking at an old Craig Moerer catalog the other day. He was selling Lee Moses 45s for $10. Damn, I slept.

  • She's gonna be great. I hope she brings the Harlettes too.
  • "Holiday In Cambodia/Police Truck" one of the great 12s of all time. What really set them apart from the rest of the hardcore scene was how tight their sound was. I think a lot their stuff is still really listenable even today.
  • Mazel Tov. Congrats on still being in love. It's a wonderful thing. Wife and I just celebrated 18 years together and 12th wedding anniversary coming up in July.

  • What's the name of that English website with a million Northern sounds files on it?
  • Isn't the hemp used for rope/clothing/paper/etc derived from a completely different part of the plant than the buds for smoking are? Isn't a plant designed for optimal use in those applications going to be cultivated and harvested differently than o…
  • alcohol was prohibited in Alaska in the late 80s?!?!? Wu is referring to our summer in Bethel, AK working on a Salmon processing barge. Bethel was a native town that banned alcohol. Thus, the price of a 5th of Jack was insane and if you wanted beer …
  • The only place I have ever been where alcohol prohibition was in affect, the Alaskan Yukon, you could see how limiting supply affected the street value. Prices for a fifth were astronomical; $40 for "cheap" Canadian whiskey in 1988. I imagine that…
  • Day, my quit smoking, win raers offer is always in effect. Just recently, I found that Axelrod you wanted. If you haven't already picked it up, it's yours after 90 days smoke free. I'll also throw in something else nice too. Let me know when you…
  • I am curious why you are concerned about middle eastern countries' civil rights policies. Do you think that we are in a position to dictate how they act toward their citizens? I don't think "we're" in a position to dictate anything...that's why…

  • What actions would you like to see Obama take in the next 100 days? I'd like to see him focus on getting the economy up and running by enforcing strict guidelines for those companies who benefitted from government "bail-outs". By making sure his …
  • Its not really a "public policy" in the sense that its public and all, but I just know that he feels the same way as me. See, he just has to keep it on the DL to avoid any criticism. To be honest I doubt whether Cheney (he of the gay daughter) or …
  • Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Bush basically have the same exact stance on gay marriage as Obama?? Don't they both say(paraphrased) "I'm against gay marriage as a Christian but support the rights given via civil unions"??? And now you underst…
  • The funniest part of this whole thing is you know Saba doesn't care if gay people want to get married either. He just likes sticking his finger in liberals' eyes. The so-called Edwards Argument*- "I don't personally believe in gay marriage but I…
  • Btw the president isn't going around saying that Satan was challenging him by asking the gay rights question which helps with his numbers. I love the Christian right right now. They don't know what the F*ck to do.
  • The president's stance is one of the most important object lessons in pure power politics one could ever imagine. Nobody really believes that he is telling the truth but he is worried that outright support could have cost him the election and now h…
