Yeah I haven't seen the first Azimuth here, on a wall or in a dealer's "Paulo crate". It is a really tough record to find in Brasil, I've seen lots of other records I was surprised to see for sale so casually (mint mutatnes, Racional Vol. 2, etc.) b…

Most of their stuff is worth checking out, generally earlier the better though their later albums have some boogie-type cuts that Pierre is kinda into. Their first LP on Som Livre is the best. Their pre-album EP is the rarest. There is some other ex…

Yo Florian - forget about the miele version, everybody knows. look out for a pic slv 45 which actually splices a funky version of "rappers" into a sick batucada break, then back to the "rappers", hard as hell! Yo spelunk, yeah, i feel you abou…

Paperstax auctioned off a really obscure one from a cumbia compilation or something recently, forget what country. I ran into a pretty good instro edit of the Miele version by "Roc Hunter". Use the internets to find it. Brasilian disco for the most…

Damn Adam, ill finds.

Damn nice JA finds. I haven't been doing much of any digging down here (I got my priorities in order!), still haven't hit up the flea market even. I did find a mint Clifton Dyson 12-inch for $2 the other day which was kind of absurd.

Is that Lee Fields LP ever coming out? I don't really get what people have against the Nicole Willis or Mayer Hawthorne.
-
Yeah please let us know if anyone in the US ends up carrying this...in the meantime I'll cop the WAV files from Juno. Sounds great! Congrats!
-
Awesome and well-deserved. Congrats J!

A voz do morto Note: The way I see this, there's wordplay going on with the use of "gl??rias", because gloriar and glorificar mean to boast or to show off respectively. Also I can't quite nail down a translation on the expression "mundo de roda" (he…

PS - Portuguese is the 7th most widely spoken language in the world. Worth learning for many many reasons.

What song? I can translate for you (though Edson can do so better than I)

Damn that is f*cking awesome. Congrats dude. Commentator lady is a bonehead though and sounds like it's '93. "Some of it's nasty though"

I had a nice ebay hustle selling Drank...but I guess their distribution has improved as the market has kinda dried up on ebay...I was selling about $700 worth of the stuff a month. The best hustle was selling it by the case, I would sell it for buy…

We just had a churrasco for a friend of a friend's birthday today with live samba. Doin' the same thing again tomorrow, minus the samba.

I came really close to buying this but just don't use a portable often enough to justify the cost. Would rock this at a record show without a doubt: http://cgi.ebay.com/Columbia-SE-8-Ladybu...419152002r20877 He also has a GP-3 up for sale.

Over priced?? http://cgi.ebay.com/Billy-Wooten-Wooden-...p3286.m20.l1116 I have the re-issue, it's a great lp but is that the right sort of price for the OG? No, in that condition I've seen copies for 100 dollars. ????? I'll buy VG+ wooden glass…

the seemingly endless succession of hot Asian chicks collecting This is the truth and I am a fan, especially because most of those girls I've met are really pretty determined to be legitimately good DJs. Do people actually have RAER at this show or…

I mean I was kinda waiting to see what a record that is actually somewhat rare, yet appeals to some crust, would do in Djukic's hands... Now I know. Just waiting for the onslaught of buy-it-nows...

Okay, well who you really need to talk to is S*th, Age, but here's what I'd say - Monterey is really, really, really sleepy. And wealthy, with Carmel, Pacific Grove, etc. nearby. Which is why people come, to get away from everything. But honestly I…
