Also college can be a good fall back as well in case other ideas/plans you have don't pan out.
-
I agree with karlito to some extent. if you don't know what you want to do with your degree or don;t ahve a plan, then college most likely isn't for you. better to work at a job or put yourself in position somewhere to work your way up. Yeh college…

I would say for joining a field with no experience or connections 30 is average. I got a temp-to-perm job in 2001 (post-bubble) that paid more than that, in an industry I had no experience in, and was raised up to 55 (without trying) in three year…
-
For Ohio that sounds about right... Maybe slightly low for Cleveland area, but not bad. Cost of living is cheap there, and you can pretty much count on your first two years out of school to be paying dues. Stick with the job if you take it for a yea…

yes they are. and that is sad.
-
yeh I am out of it. I need to stop posting after 18 hours of working.
-
yeh you are paying the extra loot for the effects processor, when you can get the Pioneer Effects box in the (PRICE REMOVED BECAUSE I AM OUT TO LUNCH) range. umm yeh my bad no sleep... that was 3-500 range... my bad.
-
yeh sorry weak on the bank account, i had one when I was 13, mom's was a co-signer but I still had control of it. How are you The_Mack and got no dough and no bank account?

No idea who the last cat is, but the beat is Most Desh - Microphone Enhancer - we have the 12inch on the site... Actually sounds like it might be him freestylin over the beat.

best thread ever...

collector a bit of a distributor... he is the mufuggin man here though. Anything you are looking for, he can probably find. Has a network throughout the US and used to sell to most of the distributors you know.

It may be the fact that alcohol takes years to wear it down, but it has to do with older records being oil based vinyl vs. newer records being a synthetic. I have friends that use alcohol as well, but any collector that has been doing it for years (…

no alcohol on RARES! mild dishwashing soap only diluted in water. Every older record collector/seller says the same thing - No Alcohol solutions unless you are trying to get something like paint splatters off.

I know a couple people that have stumbled across a sealed box or 1/2 box of them... They definately did a decent run of them, most are probably in storage units somewhere though or were dead stock at the production facility and won't see the light o…

same here I will be looking out for them in the mail to stock on 33third.

I actually like the track... don't really care what the sample is... but it would've been better with ghost on it [/hatter] no hattin, you are probably right... the beat to me seemed to be lacking something though
-
I like the beat, even though the sample is obvious. Overall its eh. Like Bsides said, I expected more...

The only reason i would stay away from the Pioneer 909 is because the effects processor is built in. If it breaks then its an issue with your whole mixer, not just the (seperate) effects box. I never heard anyone say anything regarding the sound qua…
-
If you can find one, get the Pioneer 707. For real its pretty much the same as a Rane at 1/2 or a 1/3 of the cost. They stopped making them so they cut the price to clear out their inventory. The mixer is dope and everyone I talked to that bought…

From my experience, trying to pigeonhole artists' musical tastes (that you have never really hung out with) based on their body of work is a bad move. Most artists that I have had the chance to talk with for extended periods of time have musical ta…

I dunno but is the Chris Brown single blowin up on the east coast? Kinda sounds like "yeah" part 2. sort of. Also what about that suga free record? Anyone heard the Luke and Q joint too?
-
Its alot better, aminly because madlib actually had session players playing and he just produced and arranged. sound is a lot more cohesive.

yeh its the same as the music, but if the Ipod is portable and can hook to teh TV, what is the need for burning them nah mean? CD and DVD are soon to go bye bye... well maybe not soon, but I can see their end in sight.
