It's just so tiring seeing so many people who clearly don't listen to rap music defining by way of articles and internet posts just what rap music is to the at-large audience. Lord Willin and The Fix as a combined watershed moment in crack rap??? …

what about Raekwon??? I mean Cuban Linx is nothing but coke rap... Ice Cube - Bird in the hand... on and on and on. I don't see any resurgance, it seems steady as far as mentions and references to it (although alot of the artists professing to be i…

well really it comes down to how much of a risk taker you are and really how hungry you are to be at a coveted ivy-league university. Its a bigger risk to turn down the tenure, but with bigger risk comes bigger rewards. me personally I would go for…

This album is awful IMO... the production is mediocre and at best an average triton rehash of everything else this year. the only standout track is Mr. 15 and thats ehhh at best.

Oof, cosign with DBC. I thought the 850K prediction was high when i saw that, but I was kind of hoping it was right or at least low. It is an impressive first week considering the rest of the year, however I think the second week is always more tel…

Its weak on first through 20th listen, if the average listener can figure that out, how is Jay unable to hear it? Do you even listen to rap? Or any kind of popular music? I'm just wondering. A lot of artists struggle to distinguish between thei…

So wait - let me just get this right...according to people at Def Jam, the only reason why Jay-Z recorded "Kingdom Come" was b/c Budweiser gave him money to do it? Only reason? No... main motivating factor? Yes. From what I understand, Jay's need…

And on the R&B side Def Jam's releases are all pretty much tanking. Ne-yo is on def jam For how hot the single was, less than stellar numbers. Also Ne-Yo was signed before Jay took over...

why is everyone igonoring the fact that this album was almost thrown together? I think its mediocre at best, but i am not a Jay-Z fan. But really this album came out of Budweiser contracting him to do 1 song for a commercial... After that, Budweis…

Apparently on Warner Music thanks to E-40. Whether its actually going to come out through them is another story.

it sounds like old Neptuens... Not the bubblegum becky style that they have evolved into. Its a good hip-hop album, once you get past the cocaine and crack references. Not mindblowing, but in a year of awful albums this is definately a standout.

I have been listening to this album for over a 2 weeks now. I still think Clipse are mediocre rappers, but the beats are bananas, which IMO makes them shine. The subject matter is a bit repetitive, but being that the album is not drawn out I haven't…
