A friend of mine put me onto this, he said he almost couldn't handle the sadness the first time he heard it and I thought he was exaggerating but I had the same reaction. Arvo Pärt, Cantus in memoriam Benjamin Britten

The GIF looping animation of him removing his head and passing it, while being passed a Sayer head still haunts me to this day. Controller7? We should also honor all the art attributed to the album, placement in "finds" pics etc.

First learn what house/(dub)step/rave stands for and then ask, if necessary.

Repping Tokyo, the place I live now, some amazing field-recording based music from Yosi Horikawa. His album is dropping soon, a must get. YOSI HORIKAWA - AOTEAROA from Tom Gould on Vimeo.

Repping my home country, this is some really good Icelandic reggae.

http://www.professorblastoff.com/ Funniest podcast at the moment, with occasional science-y things.

The whole wall, I meant. Think the People's Pleasure was priced at around $2000.

On the topic, their wall at the Shinjuku shop is looking quite nuts right now with a few original TSGs, Lialeh and People's Pleasure with Alive and Well. Think it's the first time I've seen it break into a million yen. :heat:

Have no more info on it, just saw an eBay auction for it which I bid on and lost. It's a 45 and the flip is "Touching You" which I haven't heard. An image of the 45 is at the Discogs page below. http://www.discogs.com/Patrick-Adams-In…

Doesn't seem like it is in the discogs for the three labels but this is my favorite Perception record. Early Patrick Adams from 1973, really showing what's to come from him in terms of an amazing sense of chords and timings.

I don't know bout you guys but there is something so necessary about having unattainable wants. Back when dubstep was slowly growing out of the UK I had the chance to grab a copy of this to complete my collection of the essentials but I didn'…

This is what I ended up making, pretty much based on the suggestions you made. Hope it makes it through and gets printed, pretty pleased with it. After all, the point of the conference is how the music industry is coping with the loss of th…

Somehow mimicking the Roger Dean style seems like the best solution. Lots of gradiant blue skies and as much otherworldly stuff I can muster up. Thanks all!

Edited: Nevermind.

Too many jams, not enough time.

Yosi Horikawa is a really talented Japanese artist that uses field recordings. Check these bits. There's also a track that he did with Dorian Concept at the Red Bull Music Academy that's really good as well. Red Sou…

When I saw the topic I thought pap day was coming up. b/w Oktoberfest started in Tokyo last week but it's too rich for my blood. The first beer is like $30 (including $10 glass deposit) and then it's $20 per beer after that. Too expens…

I take a table spoon if fish oil every morning and then have miso soup with wakame sea weed and a small block of tofu. I definitely feel I have more energy throughout the day since I started. The fish oil is pretty nasty but it's packed with…

The last artist is Yukio Hashi and it's a compilation, the 5th in a series. The top 2 are comps as well, first of Victor Orchestra, second the Toshiba Recording Orchestra.
