I can't believe this hasn't turned into a Madlib-bashing thread yet

Thanks for the input guys. The guy has a few other grails he might let go actually, including that Marvin Whoremonger record that might be more consistent.

Damn, so a bit of a one tracker then? What Funkadelic track to they cover? And yeah... I remmeber the situation you're talkkkking about ;)

Fairfield (South West Sydney) is no motherfucking joke. I've seen police baracading streets because of shootings there on more than one occassion - one of the first times I went to see my now wife in fairfield (her home town) this happened actually.…

Man... the guy in the red sweatshirt is clearly a freakin weirdo, but all I can say is reporters in America are just on a whole 'nother level IMO. Everything's so sensationalist. But I guess we got A Current Affair andToday Tonight over here... I ju…

This is the kind of thread we need on-going updates in. I'd like to hear about future interactions. It'd be hella funny to go put an envelope in his mailbox when he's home and see how quickluy he rushes out of his place to retrieve it…

The other thig that mitigates the rarity factor is that more and more stuff is getting reissued, bootlegged and otherwise made available in a cheap format. When once upon a time you'd either sought out and original copy of something, or you didn't h…

djsheep said:couldn't you think of something intelligent to say and start a thread... or didn't you find any records this week or anything to talk about yourself Mark? Nah I was too busy making flyers advertising myself b/w this …

Yeah, I hear you on the thrill of finding stuff. I think newer generations of DJs/Music fans probably aren't going to get as excited about vinyl though.
-
Yes, I still get excited [pause]... but in the bigger scheme of things, I think the raerness of music is becoming less and less important. There are still things that the interwebs can't help you with though, which I quite like.

Well... here we all are then. Looking good Raj.

Ayo!

The Moxie edit 12" series is no mafarkin joke. The MJ one in particular is soooo dope.

I thoguht this thread was gonna be about how some People releases have had UK/Euro 70s releases on polydor. I like some of the Polydor pressings on 45 because the People rleases are often Styrene.
-
Are you back ako? Any more productions in the works? I always dug those rekkids you put out on MPM.
-
YES
-
There was a recent 45 on Genuine with a cxover and the NZ group Quincy Conserve do an ok cover as well, but it's a little rocky.

Trippin. Is she like the 3rd Blues Brother now? I just saw this on the Late Show last night, haveing not heard of her previously... I was definitely feeling this cut.
-
Hell nah... the idea that the day on which i happen to be born somehow predetermines a variety of my traits is just reeediculous to me. Also... most people I do know that take this stuff seriously are mad douchey.
-
I'm not knowing anything I need to hear apart from this cut by Chicago, but I bang the fuck out of this in disco/funk sets. Are there other cuts by them that are along similar lines?
-
With magpies here in Oz, getting shat on by them is the least of your problems!
-
cymande. i hope Yeah, these guys and K&TG... though I'd suggest their Wild & Peaceful album is pretty much the essential title. Relatively common and also just really good IMO.
-
nah.
-
Damn... at this rate the BIY copy was looking pretty cheap
-
Damn that would suck!
