..or how about those who know Saheb Sarbib but not Saheeb Shihab? or vice versa. (and thanks to whoever gave me three stars - i'll take what I can get).

Everything up to 'Standing on the verge of getting it on' is great..but personal fave has to be: ..and that may just be because i've overplayed Maggot Brain.

I got one at Amoeba for $40 about a year ago...yeah it is a bit noodly isn't it...?

Superfly and Shaft have gotta be in the Top 5.

I wouldn't do this. I'd be worried that they'd turn into flesh eating zombies, and i'd be responsible. I have enough problems as it is. ....but if I was going to do it: Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha, so we can see what the real deal is.

The cover says it all.

Steffen Basho Junghans This guy is amazing...although I don't think his recordings do him justice... "Over a little over a decade, Junghans has released five records in Germany on Blue Moment Arts, and three in the United States on Portland-based…

Anthony Jackson plays the 6-String with Michel Camilo on the latin jazz documentary Calle 54. Not bad wanky fusion - just a great musician using the instrument to good effect. In the guitar/bass gray area there's also the Danelectro 6 string bass f…

I like this place in Venice: http://www.blackcatart.com/ I saw some kinda bizarre performance art thing there once involving nudity & sword waving (the metal kind). A guy in the crowd started making fun of it in a loud voice. The tough-lookin…

Phil Spector vs. Richard Simmons vs. Leo Sayer. Now that'd be a interesting fight.

The really strange thing is that according to some physicists there are an infinite number of parallel universes. So in some of them, those match-ups are probably happening right now.

and maybe throw Buddy Emmons and Buddy Bolden in there too.

Buddy Guy and Buddy Rich (pre-death) vs. Ravi & Alice Coltrane would be more fair.
-
This is true - but I thing that'd be a liability not an advantage. Alternatively, Alice may have some strange eastern mystical telepathy thing going on, where she could just look at Buddy and he'd just lie down and start crying like a baby, but fa…

I think Buddy would win in a fight - unless he has any major health problems that i'm not aware of. He's played in a lot of Chicago clubs with drunks etc. Alice has been playing spiritual jazz where everyone is peaced out. I don't see any competitio…
