We're getting to the desert island section of this list! I think 'Rubaiyat' is a more interesting listen, but this record is pure satisfaction from start to finish.

YES. This record has aged like a fine wine. TIMELESS. I remember reading an interview with either Mike D or MCA regarding the decision to construct "The Sounds of Science" entirely out of Beatles samples, and he said something to the effect of "…

LEGS! I've given that track alone quite a few spins in various sets. The album is solid from start to finish, though it's a little high on this list (same ol' complaint that will keep coming up as this list continues, I'm sure.)

LaserWolf said:It's folky, which I like, but pretentious, which I can't stand. Pretentiously dope! I honestly don't know what there's not to like on this record. The production, arrangements, melodies, mammoth breaks, ill cover art, etc. are all…

Worth a spot on this great list on the strength of "Cross Country" alone (one of my all-time favorites; the vibe solo kills me every time because I always forget it's coming.) But when you factor in the fact that this record also contains "Friends …

One of the best live albums ever recorded! Easily a top 5 record in that category for me. Most of these versions top the originals; no easy feat. I also love the looseness of this set; good vibrations and great crowd participation.

Haven't heard this one in awhile. It's definitely got some gems (the aforementioned "Heaven", "Ecoutez Moi"), but it's not something I've come back to. Very mellow soul vibes with some soft rock in the mix. A solid background record. I guess I n…

I was just talking about this record earlier this morning after a friend posted "Brainstorm" (which GURU absolutely destroys!) This record is a classic; no argument whatsoever. Most days I prefer 'Daily Operation', but 'Hard to Earn' is a very, ve…

Great, soulful record. I've been known to thrown on "Happiness" during the holidays from time to time. And, of course, "Save Their Souls" is one of the all-time greats.

This list is on fire now! 'Tago Mago' is amazing, despite some of its inaccessibility in the latter half of the album. And to realize they actually topped this with both 'Ege Bamyasi' and 'Future Days' is truly astonishing.

Great EP! I slightly prefer '83's "Come Away with ESG".

The intro to "Lucky Fellow" ALONE warrants a spot on this countdown! Great record with superb production.

After nearly a decade spent lurking in the shadows of this place, this excellent Top 100 list has finally compelled me to join the Soulstrut ranks. Really glad to see this place isn't above Hendrix. 'Electric Ladyland' is such a great record, even…
