I always preferred Sam Suffy to this LP in terms of a solid listen end -to-end. It has its moments, but i do agree that it always seemed like an over-rated grail.

You will be remembered as both the greatest AND worst thing to ever happen to this mesage board. It will be a 20 pager filled with rants, racial slurs, calls to delete the thread and a guest appearence by both Salam Hayek and John Lurie. It'll ma…

Bob Dylan guested on a Kurtis Blow Track (Street Rock or something like that), but i think that was more 86 or 87. Steppenwolf guested on a Furious Five remake of one of his songs (Magic Carpet Ride maybe?), but i think that was also later 80s af…

Just stumbled across this Solid Steel where they did a great deconstructed version of this album on thier radio show / podcast:

My mixes usually start with an idea based around 3 or 4 songs in a row. I then usually build either backwords and/or forwards untill i have something that works. Rarely do i ever start a mix, from scratch, at track #1.

All very good points, but i guess i would also settle for a nice 180gm reissue on this album, which doesn't exist and it seems like this album has NEVER been reissued on vinyl, which is crazy. C'mon 4MenWithBeards...get with it

what does my new found enjoyment of this album say about me? Never dug it before, now i kinda like it.

Antena was a french group doing what would become the Stereolab late-90's easy/bossa sound ten years earlier. As i recall, they were on Factory Records..which i think did some more of this type of thing in the 80's, but cant recall the ban…
