I can't give you any advice here on a legal tip but my question is: how is his being a child porn perv related to the quality of service he's rendered you as a patient? Not to sound naive in saying this but the two things can be entirely mutually exclusive. Of course, if part of his treatment regiment for you felt weird to you during the course of your meetings with him and you can connect that to what he's been busted for, then sure, you might have a malpractice suit but if the knowledge that he's a perv is what's perturbing to you, but his service was otherwise professional, I'm not sure there's a case to be had here.

Therapists are purposefully NOT supposed to bring their personal life into a patient/therapist relationship and assuming this guy managed to keep that professional distance with you, what he does in his personal life, no matter how incredibly reprehensible, would seem to fall outside of the legal standard for malpractice.

I know, you're probably right. I'm just skeezed by the whole thing, and the fact that he's getting away with such a little penalty makes me want to sue the shit out of him to hit him harder.

Unfortunately at this time it does turn me off to therapy. I find something disconcerting about sitting there speaking about my problems to someone who is a bit more fucked in the head than I am.
