    Let's see, I want attention by comparing Charles Stepney produced records???

    Gee, I thought I was just fishing for a discussion.

    Minnie's record is so highly regarded. Apart from Les Fleurs, I'm seriously not sure why. And even Les Fleurs gets a little too high piched swirly girly for me at times.

    The Upchurch record takes the same aesthetic and is just more understated with it, which to me is a good thing.

    But I guess this is old news???

    I find the Minnie Riperton way overrated. I don't even need it filed anymore. I haven't heard that Phil Upchurch though.

    I just found that Minnie a month back. I didn't know anything about it, other than it was Stepney production which I usually love, but I wasn't expecting much and i thought it was awesome (I agree with the idea of it sounding a little "wussy" at times though) That being said, I haven't heard that specific Phil Upchurch record, but I also really love "Upchurch".

    At this point I almost feel like the cover is the best thing about "Come To My Garden". I listen to "Perfect Angel" way more.

    I've never seen that Upchurch before - matter fact I've still never found that crazy looking one that's probably from around the same time either.
