Kind of insane but Linda Gerhardi who changed her name to Zebedee is my mother - she’s called Grace Faithful atm

Brazil has the crazy name game on lock though.

My brother once met a woman there named Xisalêire - pronounced like "She's a Lady". Her parents were big Tom Jones fans.

Reminds me of the Kenyan music video character years ago: "Mekmende" (as in Clint Eastwood's "make my day" line from 'Sudden Impact'). Given the Chuck Norris-like meme's popularity, I wouldn't be surprised if there is at least one kid there with that name by now.

A friend of mine was travelling in South America and he met a guy called “Oosnahbee”. He asked where this name came from, and the guy explained that his dad was impressed with an American warship he’d seen and liked it’s name: US Navy (many Spanish-speakers pronounce “v” as “b”).
