all are "ok", but imo not worth the price they usually go for. The Bobby Boyd LP on Tigerlily sounded pretty boring to me too, but I haven't heard the whole thing
There are sooooo many horrible records in all genres that sell in the hundreds that this thread will just barely scratch the surface. I suppose it's funny to watch people defend some of them cause they got duped into shelling out for one or two, but still.
I mean it's good, but for the price, it's not that good.
Isn't there a different cover of this?
you might be thinking of "Boss Soul"
800 bucks is beyong rock smokin' on this though.
Boss Soul ain't worth what it goes for either. But this one (Jujus alchemy for blues) is a great album, just not worth the going rate. But just for the record (pun intended), what would a $800 record that most agreed was worth the money sound like?
what would a $800 record that most agreed was worth the money sound like?
As far as I'm concerned a "worth it" $800 record would have to come with seeds to grow a money tree. I mean, there is an absolutely endless[/b] amount of great records for under $50 if one broadens their tastes.

Are these all LP's? I'd like to hear them.
naw theyre all 45s but you should still hear them all...
Can I make a quick mention for 87% of the 'random rap' records that seem to sell upwards of $200? Obviously, there's a bunch that (in my eyes) are dope... but there's a LOT that are utter shite.
Elaine Delmar "Sneakin Up On You" - few years ago dealers were asking ??80-??100....To me there's the title track which is good but no more than that and then there's nothing else about that album. Naturally it has come down in price.
