I said to myself when this dude comes to the nhl, that team will be my favorite team (this was back in like grade 7...1991 or something). he got drafted by philly, but was traded to quebec because of cry baby lindros. Quebec Nordiques are my favorite team to this day. And i dont care if they won those cups in colorado, in my eyes, quebec was the last canadian team to win the stanley cup twice.

I guess it's just a different experience. I used to listen to Wings games on the internet while I did chores, prepped ebay auctions, surfed the net, etc. and it was defintely preferable to nothing.
I was pissed because due to my location, NBC gave me the Devils' fourth and final ethering of the sleepwalking NYR, instead of the awesome Wings/Oil series. Those NY/NJ games were so dull, it was like watching exhibition games between the Devils and a Division II NCAA team.

They seemed to slow the fuck down. Either that or Edmonton strapped rockets to their skates. Legace can't really be blamed for those goals, they were just good, fast plays.

Goals weren't Legace's fault. What horrible defence on the last goal scored by Edmonton. Giving up 4 goals in the 3rd period when dominating the entire game is unacceptable.

fuck! I saw the 1st 2 periods of Det/Edm and had to leave to go skate - I was telling everyone at the rink that the Oilers looked like toast, they didn't do shit for those first 2 periods and they came back? I shoulda taped that shit.

Detroit didn't really embarass themselves in this series, they just got outplayed for big chunks of it. Congrats to the Oilers, I hope they can keep it up, cause this was a tough series and a lot was left on the ice...
