anyone know how to hook up a hum eliminator?

so I mp3ed a bunch of shit to use with serato and I found out that there was a low hum in all of my files!!! So I go out and buy a hum eliminator from rolls and hook it up to in between my mixer and my m-audio mobilepre soundcard and STILL got a lot of noise when I record my wax to computer anyone have any suggestions! Should I just stick with good ol reliable wax!!!

    you shouldn't have any hum if your turntables are grounded and your soundcard is properly setup unless something is fucked up with your mixer/soundcard. how is everything setup?

    I check the grounds seem to be ok...I just reinstalled the drivers for my soundcard so I have no Idea what it could be
