When most of us think of artists on Stax records we think of soul legends like Otis Redding,Rufus Thomas,Isaac Hayes,Booker T etc right?
but I was flipping through the soul section of a local record shop and stumbled on this oddball Stax release I've never seen in all my digging years.. Some little white girl wtf? Please tell me there's not actually a sick drum break on it? lol

Probably not.
Dead at 35.
I have not heard, or even touched, this record.
Black Memphis artist is very Stax. But old banjo blues is not.
The only Stax artist born in the 1800's.
This was the first LP issued on Stax, only 500 or so pressed, it's definitely rare.

G-Writah...props for the super random David Bull avatar.
Yes that was a depressing read.
Thank you, learned of that gentleman here on the strut. Amazing to have such a passion for something, especially when it is seemingly obscure.
You sound mad heated about this. Why don't you just throw it out?

A record takes up half a cm of space. That Lena record is prolly reading this, like, "can I live?"
