Ram Jam Band
Big 70s hit.
Extended metal workout of a Leadbelly tune.
Breaks! Breaks?
Racial under, over and every-way tones.
Metallic classic I say.
I prefer the 45 version.
One of the dudes later went on to a career in 'interpretive dance'. Orly?
Thoughts please.

The lead singer Myke Scavone is from New Jersey and I saw him recently as the leadsinger for the Dough Boys.
Didn't know he was in Ram Jam until he mentioned it.

nice one!
..but Kidd fuk'n' rock covered this song, ugh, its a rare classic rock jam that didn't get played enough on the radio, also used on the "Blow" soundtrack before searchin' the internets for a copy.
The long version doesn't make me mad, but I'd go with the single edit if I had to choose.
One member, Bill Bartlett, had previously played with the Lemon Pipers.
B-b-b-but she's from Birmingham! And it rhymes!!1!
Actually, this raises another point that always puzzles me.
I never see dudes repping Alabama.
Or Arkasas for that matter, or Missouri, or Kansas or Kentucky.
What gives?
It's pronounced Lynard Skynard.
And the bam-a-lam is 80 percent of the song!
You see my point?
LIKES ONLY ONE FIFTH OF THE SONG
PARTYABUSE RECREATIONAL INHALANTS?^^^Sent the dancefloor into Bachman Turner Overdrive.
Your breaking point was my selling point.
