Last time this happened, I was on a stag do in Sheffield. 4-5 years back. Night was getting blurry after a full day at York races with some ex-steelmill homies. Some footballer dude blagged everyone in for nowt in some club. No idea where. Music was fi-yarrr. Like, mindreader shit. So good. Sat night too. DJ was a tiny girl. Too loud to talk. Just put "LOVE IT XXX" in a text and held it up to her to read.

Span round and busted moves before she retained eye-contact. 100% nonchalance in the city that gave you The Human League and dem. I could almost high-5 the ghost of Phil Oakey.

Wow. Going to be hard to top. Going to have to summon the ghost of Phil Lynott for the 18th.

"Guess who just got back today?-R"....

    Nice one jim.

Slaughtered now. Offski. Outers as we say in the hood.

Bring your A game on 18th.

Duder and Junior get to add an SS notch to Teh bedpost. But I still win. I get McCoy next week, and NY trip is in the locker for Dec or Jan.

Dude is back on 22nd. I almost want to postpone The Night Out.

But then I remembered: it's never as good second time around.

I'm pretty sure Duttybabylon said he'd turn up some time and bring the who-jah-blessness with him. Might harass him with a PM.
Flomotion a London head who never checks this thread because of the football angle?
My head is fuzzy today but I'm sure there are others.

Boy Chizzle doesn't do druncle stuff no mo'

Moke is in a land far, far away.

To reiterate: we will be at The Wine Tun, on corner of Old Change Court, Carter Lane and Cannon Street. 6 or shortly thereafter.

Near tubes Mansion House (District and Circle) and St. Paul's (Central Line).

Here's one: Who has the daftest name - Brian Eno or Ranulph Fiennes?

Please google their middle names before jumping to a conclusion.

  • DuderonomyDuderonomy Haut de la Garenne 7,794 Posts
Ranulph is from some hoity-toity family, and there's probably some reason of historical import for some of those middle names.

Eno's christened name is 'normal', which means the fool chose that ish?

    St John le Baptiste though.

I see two ways of settling this:

FIGHT - Money on Sir Ran. Man pulled his own toes off or summik. Man trained to ignore pain, ignore the weather, eat things that would make a Billy goat puke. Eno's special move is what, a solo face?

A-GOOD-OLD-PLAYING-THE-BLUES-OFF - You have to say Eno will have superior chops, but wait doe, are there any more heartfelt blues than the whiteboy toff blues? Hugh Lawrie and dem. St. Martins college can do that to man, freal.

    How will I sleep tonight....

Apart from Duder's dodgy passport, Moke is the nearest thing we have to Merica.

I am in London quite regularly these days and would love to join one of the next meetups. Only there until 16th next week, but back in early November - will check this thread more frequently from now on.

  • You are a dyed-in-the-wool, fascist, reactionary, squalid little, 'know your place', 'don't rise above yourself', 'don't get out of your hole' - complacent little turd.

    Did someone jack Dutty's login?
Or is this after some pm action?
Some form of super articulate Tourette's?
Or did someone post something that pressed a Dutty button?
    Maybe me.

    Speak on it.

    B/ w I will readily accept the Jimster 12".

P/w this numbness does have its' upside

I no longer have the stamina for PM and AM action. In my younger, cough, "gayer" days...

    Rasklaut! Reminds me:

    Q. Why did 80,000 people boo George Osborne at the Paralympics?
    A. Because that's the maximum capacity of the Stadium.

    Didn't same 80k cheer BoJo?

    Explain that one.

  • DuderonomyDuderonomy Haut de la Garenne 7,794 Posts
Perhaps the only good thing about BoJo is that the papers think he's making Cameron uncomfortable.
I kind of like him, but I don't live in LDN.
