Everything sounds underwater! (illness related)

I've been sick for about a week...nothing special, just a cold, but for a few days now EVERYTHING sounds muffled like I'm underwater. I crank up my speakers and there is no depth or detail in the music. My mixing is way off because I just can't hear properly.Anyone have any remedies for this? It's like my ears just need to pop after coming off an airplane, but they never do.
