Drag 'em into iTunes & right-click "convert to mp3"?

I personally use dBpoweramp Converter which is free and seems to do the job ok (lets you choose kbps etc when converting).

Doesn't work for some reason - that's what I tried in the first place. I'll try the thing that Junor suggested, thanks fellas.*

*Edit: It's a PC app I think, and I'm on a Mac. Any other ideas?

you on a mac or pc?
i was having trouble with this on the mac last night. itunes wouldn't let me drag them in there... may have been the files though...i couldn't convert them either, even after downloading & installing Switch and Flip4Mac.

HAZ recommended "Exact Audio Copy" for PC

I'm pretty sure you can't play or convert WMA files with iTunes/quicktime.
    Use Switch!
