Cheryl Lynn - Got To Be Real

I make a point to play this at some point every Saturday night/dance party I do. You can transition this song from just about anything, it breaks things up real well with that intro, and the ladies ALWAYS love this track. 100% sure shot. But I always think of it as a disco club track, not so much funk. In this category Bon Bon Vie by TS Monk and Hot Shot by Karen Young are also crucial.

Some of these songs weren't even that popular. I can think of five or six other Sly Stone songs that are better known than "Love City" (an obscure album cut).
