It's a shame ubiquity did such a half assed job on their mastering. He had budget for a string section, of course Continental wasn't going to cheap out on the recording.
For real, I was listening to Loronix's 320 version of this album; not sure where it was ripped from but it doesn't remotely capture the layers of sound happening on the OG.

Just turntables into computer... I use Cakewalk Sonar 6 to record. I have a fairly high end sound card, but I don't know the specs. I'm a bit of an audio/vidiot when it comes to stuff like that so I'm glad it turned out right!

A little record-collector gossip: when I saw Superfly Paulo a couple days ago I asked him if he saw this auction, and he said he recognized it as the copy he sold a couple years ago. I remember seeing it on his site for something like 400, so someone made a very good investment...
