I just have to give it up to the man, Colin Geddes. He's been a on a mission in this city for the last 10+ years to get people out to see Fu flix the way they should be seen. In the theater.Tonight was the showing of The Kid With The Golden Arm. 
Seeing this movie tonight, gave me that feeling I had as a kid coming downtown to see HK flix every Sat. afternoon in old chinatown.Night started off right with InsideAMind (Four man Turntable crew) droppin' some dope original sets while Colin played his OG cinemascope print of Master Killer behind them. It was hot hearing those crazy sounds with one of my fav SB films playing in the background. Next up were some giveaways. Ha, one kid was about 10 that won. Reminded me of myself at that age going to see these films.Then the main event.Now, the print wasn't the best. And TKWTGA isn't the greatest of the shaw brothers flicks. But all in all, it's a pretty damn good movie. The crowd was really into it. Yelling, Cheering, Laughing! It was great.Got a chance to talk to Colin and reminisce about the night he played the OG Master Killer print. Wicked night... I mean, Master Killer... Quentin Tarantino (Who curses Colins name for getting the print before he could buy it) on his first date with Mira Sorvino... In an old Porn theater. Shit was classic!Anyways,If your in Toronto and looking for something to do on a Friday night. was this at the OG all night kungfu cinema spot on Spadina, that was open in the late 80's?
every kid that was homeless or had a fucked up fam camped out there!
i was the ticket gal at the metro for Colin and at Innis too. it was a lot of fun.

I was gonna make the 3+ hour trip to Boston about 2 months back when they had the same Kid With The Golden Arm print, but alas I never made it.
Hopefully it will find it's way to NY at some point.

Paul - Colin Geddes deserves the props! The print wasn't in the best of shape. But, it gave it some character no doubt. I'd love to see Colin's collection of prints.
