I haven't followed the elections closely enough to know what his deal is exactly, although some people I know seem genuinely excited about his election. What do you people think? Maybe we can get one or two reasonable opinions on him before the usual shit-flinging starts...

Hello Strut,

Most of you on here selling must have been through a fair amount of these but going through my first chargeback really pissed me off.

Bascially I got an "Unauthorized Payment" chargeback for a record I shipped, I provided proof but still got the money taken out of my account.

On further inspection (or just a little inspection), I saw that the person paying and the person ordering were two different people sharing the same address. I could understand if your roommate used your Paypal that the person would like to get their money back somehow but I've had kids charge records to their parents cards before and no hassle.

They closed the case since the "buyer" wasn't under Seller Protection.

Anyone have the same experience? And can I leave neg feedback on Discogs without fear of retaliation?

= how I'm feeling.

Just a quick question. Pulled out my Manzel - midnight theme Lp on Dopebrother (2004) for a spin today. All tracks exc. Jump Street have been 'remixed' by Kenny Dope and The Undercover Brother. What does 'remixed' mean? I don't own a single OG so i can't compare. am i listening to original tracks or reworked stuff? What's the deal? Why touch the original tracks?

Peace,
Leon

Hi fellow Strutters,

a short request for all you specialists and fellow addicts: Any good suggestions for soul funk collectors in LA, Las Vegas and SoCal? I'm talking record stores, flea markets, clubs, concert venues etc. We 'll be heading to the west coast on 8.11. and already checked the ss-city guide. Stuff like Record Surplus, Records LA, Atomic Records or Funky Sole sounded interresting - but most of the postings are not that recent. So we wanted to double check ...

Any suggestions guys?

Cheers, NJ

Accidentally snapped the stylus off my ortofon arkiv yesterday

Always thought it sounded terrible anyway. Distorted and harsh mids... On a properly setup technics 1210 too

Any recommendations out there for a hi-fi but durable cartridge? I don't DJ or do scratching but do a lot of needle dropping with the sampling etc

Sorry I know there are a few threads on here about this but they're old kinda old... The arkiv is discontinued now for example
