I made this mix from records pulled from a crate of reggae 12"s I bought that originated in Harry's collection. Most were signed 'Harry" but many amongst them were signed 'Spliffy Dread'. Turns out Spliffy was a deceased former DJ friend of Harr…

I don't think age matters as long as you can still hear and aren't completely burnt.

Yup, I had fun, though when I realized they were going to rehash the plot line from IV I definitely groaned. I mean shit 1+ billion dolars and they can't pull off much more than a tongue in cheek tribute flick? That being said it was a blast to wat…

These guys are da bomb. It took me a long time to track down that record and a longer time to track down Pied Piper of Funkingham. I'll up it when I get a chance, it's got a great version of Clap Song on it!

Wow, I'm totally curious. His OG LP record is a GOAT. Wonder if they'll press some vinyl. That clip is great.

Lotsa nice finds dudes: Idle Moments for days! Still more Reggae. It's been kinda overwhelming.

I find you always gotta have a discard pile one the go... some for ebay/discogs and most to the local store. I keep very few one trackers, most go once they get ripped or put onna mix. And my OCD complecionist streak seems to have melowed with age…

Pretty redunculous reggae haul. All originally from an ol Rasta DJ. Over 2 crates og roots from the seventies. Some early and later dancehall.. the later dancehall has already been moved. I'm slowly sorting through the rest right now, but it's a sl…

This LP I had the time to rip then cut up so there's tracks. A bud of mine says there's no good rips available of Lee... not a good situation. http://www.mediafire.com/download/9agvh6mkduhb2ro/Lee+Mc+Donald+Sweet+Magic.zip

I was thinking more about the control than the $. Good thing you did it while you could Danno.

Slam Dunk for Sony. WTF.

Ripped this one tonight off the lp at 320 kbps. Really lovely unique vibe throughout. Didn't have a chance to flag tracks, sorry, pressed for time. Thanks to all for what they've put up: I'm enjoying listening to some new music... …

Hey Raj BBQ is your friend with good meat, gettr done in the summer while you can. Just remember to take the chicken skin off... Also, a staple in our house is wraps, the kids love it because they have control (to an extent) over what …

Oriental Jazz is a great record. Bought my copy from Mr. Miller about 5 yrs ago, og cover not photocopied, and signed which was sweet. He included his complete discography in CD form. Class through and through.

Totally agree about that Diana LP ppdilha...underated. Summertime, and the living is easy. Lot's of reggae on the decks... Can't recommend the Tubby enough. Same with the Im Brooks. Slept on the Etta James for way too long, funky. …

Happy B-day to a master musician's musician. It's hard to pick but my all time fav's gotta be:

leon said:Strictly speaking, that Nick Ayoub isn't a library LP. Like all CBC/RCI records, it was a recording commissioned they commissions; to my knowledge it was never licensed to any other party. Amazing record though--a personal favourite. No…

That's a wierd Italo Library joint that's pretty much what you'd expect from the cover: minimoog, polymoog, Arp Odyssey, Roland Sequencer, Fender Rhodes, all done by Gianni Safred. Exceeded expectactions by a mile when I got it.

I've owned quite a few over the years and sold most of them. These are some I've hung onto. The Coverless (anyone?) KPM is the Brazillian Suite. Sorry about laying bare my Feelings Skel.... Love to find the Big Beat LP's some…
