Predictably the reaction from Spanish nationalists is violence. Crowds wearing the Spanish flag were marching around the city looking for fights, and attacked a school - a fucking kids school - surrounded it, smashed the door and chanted intimidating shit at scared children until they were “moved along” by the partisan police force.
Fuck knows what’s in store once Madrid has mobilised the police/army etc, but if two separatists have been in prison for over a week already for public speaking, the Catalan politicians (all 70 who voted to declare) are looking at 30 years porridge.
