J.J. Whitefield aka Jan Weissenfeldt is a musician, producer, DJ and the mastermind behind Karl Hector & The Malcouns (Now-Again). He founded the legendary soul/funk band “The Poets Of Rhythm” in the early 90s and didn’t stop playing the raw sounds ever since (Whitefield Brothers, Transgressors, Ebo Taylor & Afrobeat Academy etc.).
Since the 80s he’s collecting obscure funk and other raw sounding records. On the weekend tour from 14th-16th April he’s playing his favourite plates together with Rainer. Besides the funk & soul they’re focused heavily on Afrofunk, Afrobeat & Highlife… dusty, raw & dirty!
