I don't understand why people have to drive with their dog on their lap, with it's head sticking out the window. I seen it twice today so far.

  • in the neighborhood i work in people are steadily driving around with their dogs in car seats/pushing their dogs around in strollers. also, lots of attractive late-20s early-30s women are dropping their dogs off at doggie daycare at 7:30-8:00 am.

    I don't really understand even having a non-working dog.

Been noticing that lately as well. I personally gotta pistolgrip pump in my lap at all times, so no room for Rover.

I have three cats and a dog and this doesn't happen to me. It is really not that hard to avoid.

I would imagine most people in non-rural areas have dogs for companion purposes and not for herding sheep.

Dude, dogs should only be for the blind and for sniffing narcotics.

dogs are better than people and they are fun to have around...they are always happy to see you...they make life better. Dogs rule.

But never on my lap in the ride.

ahhh ... this is definitely one of my all-time most-hated things!

I am constantly ranting to my co-worker on the truck I drive about these people.

I don't understand why they don't get pulled over - and you would not believe how many
people I see doing this, EVERY DAY. Like 8-9 people a day, driving
around with a small dog in the lap. What if the dog freaks out, or even just starts
licking your face or something? DEATH.

Seriously, that's what legs are for.

This is why animals get fat. Next thing you know, people will be taking their pets to doggy aerobics, or kitty jazzercise. Unless they already do.

  • I just got some beers with a friend tonight to watch the basketball game and a second friend shows. Second dude has a shit eating grin on his face and explains that he saw some idiot driving with a little ass dog on his lap. Idiot hits a Mpls road hole (which due to plowing can become huge) while the dog tries to look out the window and oops out it goes. Sad part is the dude put the dog back in the car and seemed more concerned with waiving on the on-lookers than the health of the animal.
