The man who founded the Capsoul label and wrote the Ohio Soul classics "Number One" and "Sock It To 'Em, Soul Brother" died Tuesday in Columbus, OH. Besides his contributions to soul music and civil rights, he was also a helluva school board member.

Pay your respects, friends and strutters.

I'm a late-pass carrier of the Capsoul sound, but I fully respect the fruits of Mr. Moss' efforts as a label owner and artist himself.

    May he Rest In Peace.
