I haven't seen a lot of mixes of straight-ahead jazz on here. What's up with that?I'm about to throw one together of some of my favs; you should do the same and post it up.No funky, free, fusion, Bossa, smooth, soul, or spiritual. Vocal is cool, though.GO

What do you mean by straight-ahead jazz? Bebop?

fatback posted a couple of solid jazz mixes that I love a couple of years back. One of them was a Prestige Mono OG mix. Good shit.

    GO

i will be needing this when its done, the closest i have would be either a 4 hour recording of jazz a night we did a few years ago, or a mix i did early last year that is maybe a little on the funky side, definately keen for the prestige mono tape that you speak of too

  • Nice to see this! I'm working on a jazz mix with a friend of mine. Mostly rare scandinavian stuff from the sixties!

I'll let you know when it's done!

Not strictly 50s & 60s stuff, but a window on to the jazz music of Argentina from mid 60s through to early 80s.
