'Marcus Garvey' bassline

There may not be a name or any sort of history attached to it, but just to satisfy my curiousity, how often has the bass line melody heard in Burning Spear's "Marcus Garvey" been used in other songs (not talking about the Ghost riddim used for other reggae tunes or it being sampled by someone, if such has happened)? Is it associated with any sub-genre of Caribbean music? I have a few island, African funk and calypso comps on CD and I have heard this bubbling, shuffle bass progression more than a couple of times. Off hand, one example is (Mighty) Duke's "Freedom In Africa" (Strut's Calypsoul comp). Anyone know?
