    Nate,

repping your local priavte experience is always interesting, local stuff is what I mostly collect.

it's just that your motives are sadly transparent.

you're a yuppie private press collectro who needs to be told what to buy off ebay.

    yeah that just happened.

    And you're middle-aged shut-in gay record dealer.

So what, that doesn't mean we can share knowledge with each other.

Besides, I thought that in order to be a yuppie you needed to be over 30, drive a volvo, and live in a condo? I prefer the term neo-hippie.

Bro I have no motives other than to listen to good music. Not trying to infringe on your "game".

    damn.

    you hella burned me bro.

if you were to infringe on my game, you'd actually have to do some 'digging'

    still, I'm shook.

I dig whenever I can. But my yuppie 60+ hour a week job really only allows me to be a weekend warrior.

Does anybody have any VT Folk? Any Tom Eslick fans out there?

I snapped these photos this morning because the stuff was just lying around, but here are some fantastic dub LPs that have almost exclusively been bought in NYC - while many of them were made outside of New York (specifically, Jamaica and UK), this is one kind of specialty that is local to this area. Most of these were 70s-80s stock from the city's many JA record shops.

It would be an honor to have a graemlin inspired by my insipid, shallow, ebay trend of the week, hunger for spoon-fed knowledge record collecting lifestyle.

Not really. Mostly Philo and Rounder folk. I am swimming in Lambsbread LP's and the occasional Mark Winokur "Jesus Christ Super Stoned".

Regarding Bionic dub, that is an original on Winro that was rescued, coverless, from a waterlogged crate at the old Chelsea flea. Our own Rap79 laced me with an original silk screen sleeve through an old missing covers post... It really works People!

Yeah, funnily enough I got a (slightly faded) silkscreen sleeve for Mellow Dub from sleevestrut. Only one I've got out of it. Props though.

The definition of Private Press - you had to join a club to get the record. Based out of Larchmont, NY. Hot covers of Soulful Strut, Last Tango in Paris and Oye Como Va. Oh no I've said too much already.

Great, the New York Bros wake up and turn this into an informative record discussion. I'm done. This place is not what it used to be.

mid 70s funky soul record. "Losing You" is a big track. the owner of the label created Plastic Man and also produced all the 49er football games.

courtial is the white dude in the hat. he still plays jazz music in idaho.

the other dude, errol, was in azteca besides spending time in and out of prison.

theres a cool 7pg booklet that give info on all the players in the band.
