  • Pulled 24 records out of the snow this morning. Guy had two boxes covered with ice. Luckily I got there before the temperature broke 32 degrees or the covers would have been ruined. A few nice records in there including:

Junie - When We Do (Westbound)
Larry Williams - That Larry Williams (Fantasy) great LP!
Jorge Ben - Samba Nova (Island)
Harlem World Crew - Rappers Convention (Tayster) 12"

Also picked up yesterday what is quite possibly the worst LP I've ever heard. It's called "Wildwood Days" (private press) and comes from Wildwood, NJ circa 1977 or so. It has a bunch of the local cover bands who were "hot" that summer. Two of the bands cover Bowie (one is called Ziggie), another covers "Philadelphia Freedom" and finally there's the absolute worst ever - a sucky, off-key cover of "Born to Run" that has to be heard to be believed (and the band had apparently been together since 1968!).
Guaranteed room clearer. Will scan soon.

from a flea market (but not the montomery, al. flea)

sealed M.I.A. lp from 85-- orig. on national trust. also, carol stromme-- a "soft psych" lp for fans of wendy & bonnie kind of thing--but not as good, but still ok with arrangements and prod from lincoln mayorga. also a b-movie horror soundtrack from early 80s feat. synth music from a family from pittsburg going under the name of 'quintessence'.kind of scary. song called 'black mass' is a 'back-masked' tune with kids saying stuff backwards. . the rest is self-explanatory.

  • Ducked into Good will for a hot minute..
    Gato Barbieri-Ruby,Ruby..suprisingly good
Shirly Bassey,lp w/ light my fire..

  • nothing to raer here but this is what ive gathered over the past few weeks,

either way theyve braught me much joy this weekend

Hey, Holmes - you stepped up your 45 game this week for real!

The Rhine Oaks and Henchi are a couple of favorites over here ...

Oh, I just noticed the "What It Is" part - I only saw
the Saadia set listed at first ... oops ... well, that
shows me what a sweet set that is - I wonder if people
are going to try passing off some of these new legal
repros as OG's on eBay, hmm? Are there any really
    obvious markings on them?
