We've done this topic before, but it was two years ago and unavailable in the archives... When JB made his transition, I told more than one person that out of everybody, James Brown at this time has the most albums of any one artist in my record stash(something like 28 albums).     James Brown wins on the LP and 45 front! Repped to the max! I think Isaac Hays and Herbie Hancock also clock in at 10+ albums each. I got a few Roy Ayers and PE albums too.

    I used to have a 20+ HUGO MONTENEGRO collection. Long, amusing story. I culled that down recently.

    I've got 18 on the Beatles, ~15 Modest Mouse, ~15 MF DOOM (W KMD Included), ~10 Parliment/Funkadelic. I think I have 10+ on James Brown if u count the 3 JBs LPs I have. Roy Ayers, real close to 10. Bowie - at least 15 although I'm thinking I don't really need Bowie reads Peter & The Wolf or some of those bad 80's albums he did. Zappa/Mothers - 15+. Tom Waits - I think I have all the studio lps except 1 that are on vinyl, that's about 15. Martin Denny - got almost all his LPs - 10+.

    What hundred Beatles albums are there??

    I mean, I have all the original LP's, and few UK presses -
    and then a couple comps, Star Club sessions, Hollywood Bowl, etc...
    and it still only comes to around 20 albums...so do you own like
    70 studio outtake and live bootlegs??

    Miles by a mile. I have 30+ albums, not including those set aside for ebay. It's not that he's a favorite of mine- just that he has a lot of great albums that are always in circulation for diggers, so it just kind of ended up that way.
