your favorite madonna song

You go back in time and play this track and it better be a cheesy gay club or a top-40 club that plays Paula Abdul and Millie Vanilli like there's no tomorrow, because in any club with any semblance of either hard core or even just real schitt tendencies...you'd only get a range of crickets to agitation.

The first album is a decent bit of early 80's dance/pop, and is her best collection of songs IMO.

    but I also love"oh father"

  • My personal favorite is the one with the chorus that sounds like "Last Night I Dreamt of Some Bagels"

Speaking on new madonna, i actually thought this song was even better:

  • My personal favorite is the one with the chorus that sounds like "Last Night I Dreamt of Some Bagels"

also like the track with the chorus that sounds like "Poppadom Peach".

  • nice food motif on the madonna songs!

someone was bumping "chreish" in their bmw the other day. that sounds good when its loud.

my favorite, though, is "crazy for you"

Jellybean "Sidewalk Talk" (Feat. Madonna), nice little piece of dance/synth/pop. Jellybean was ruling it back then. I think this was one of Madonnas first apperances.

"Into The Groove" is my fav though.

madonna was already a popstar by then. i think she helped produce this thing.

Dress You Up (pre-Gap commercial) and Causing a Commotion were probably my favorite early dance songs...Among her newer stuff, I liked a lot of tracks from Ray of Light and Die Another Day (the single). Sorry is a good song, too.

Like a Prayer is also a personal favorite because Leon is in the video.

  • "Everybody" (92 WKTU days)

    "Justify My Love"

    "Get Into The Groove"

    LOL

I generally cannot stand Madonna's strained singing voice and I do not celebrate 95% of her catalogue.

I can get with the stuff from the first album and a song here and there. I think "Beautiful Stranger" is one of her best later-era songs. In fact, I really like that one.

Her Electronica version of Marvin Gaye's I Want You is incredible.
There's an acapella version w/ minimal strings on........

    Massive Attack production.

  • I used to like her early stuff- Borderline. When she got into that Papa Don't Preach phase, I tuned out.
