have you heard (or has anyone else) anything by this Belmondo group that Yusef is playing with? I've heard tell that it is left field Classical in nature. True?? Double True??

I saw Yusef about 6 years ago at the North York Performing Arts venue, and it was unfortunately as the players Yusef had with him were not so hot, and Yusef himself really didn't focus much. A very lost plot that show. I was unhappy to say the least, as he is one of my musical heroes. Anyway, what of this Belmondo???

I think that was also a problem w/ Terry Callier's show at harbourfront. The backing band was a bit anemic to say the least.

I would recommend folks check out Marcus Belgrave, I saw him a few years ago in a very intimate setting. I chatted w/ him for a bit and bought some cd's, a very good dude that man is.

Can't wait till Joe Bataan though.
