Someone posted it a little while ago, either in the Classifieds or this board, they were selling an lp on the 'Rita Marley Records' label ... and it was going for like 1200 USD . it was a disco funk/boogie thing from around 1983.does anybody know the name of the lp? I can't remember or find that post..thanks

Hot damn... that is fire. Doesn't sound one bit JA, either

You do like boogie?! Last track in the soundfile has a reggae swing to it - it's just that so many JA techniqies were (re?) co-opted back to the States that it's hard to tell. One reggae track on the whole LP - it's tight. All JA session musicians on the mix.

I love boogie - when its done right

The synth and beats on the Harriott track sounded mad corny to me though

You can tell it's JA by the first track (notably after the intro/chorus)...also has a reggae swing to it. I don't know the notation details - just know by the records I've listened to.
