I picked up a copy of Z-Trip / DJ Emile's "Best Friends (The Long Lost Bombshelter MixCD"... ... but not directly from Hiphopsite.com. I am suspicious whether it's a bootleg. The CD Matrix (is this what you call it?) reads "Impress Z-Trip" and "Made in the UK".Can somebody confirm what you see on a copy that came directly from Hiphopsite.com?

I don't know what you mean by CD matrix, but those statements don't appear anywhere on my copy, and it wasn't made in the U.K., so I think you have a bootleg.

Matrix number, run out groove etchings etc. are all vinyl terms, but I don't know whether there is an established term for the markings on a CD: But when you look at a CD closely around the hole in the middle (usually the only hole there is...) you will see some markings from the pressing plant, like a catalogue number or the pressing plant's name.
If you got your copy from hiphopsite.com, what do you see on close inspection?
